Freedom of Speech is one of the rights many people have fought and died for. Maybe you would like life better in North Korea.

He has the freedom to say it no matter how tasteless and I have the same right to call him on it.  Also, freedom of speech rights don't necessarily extend to the internet, depending on where you say it.

Ironically your trying to suppress Jubreau's speech as you defend free speech. Free speech has nothing to do with either issue however because there are no government attempts being made to restrict speech. People have just as much right to say that somebody shouldn't say something as the first person had to say it. And of course you have just as much right to tell those people you think they are wrong.

Personally I'm not particularly bothered by Uga's post though, it just bothers me when people invoke freedom of speech in an inapropriate way.

His post was clearly a joke trying to add some levity to a very sad situation (eg n korea killed more than a few folks in the past 3 months vying for attention like a 4 year old). We cope with crap using humor.

Exactly, just like how Wikileaks is only exercising its freedom of speech rights when leaking more CIA dossiers .

Except of course, that the guy, Assaunge-whats-his-name (sp?), is a terrorist for saying that he'll release more stuff if people try to shut him down.

He's also announced that some Russian documents are going to be released on the site. I expect he'll last no more than a year before he "mysteriously" dies.

Im hoping he releases those US and other banks first.

What does Wikileaks have to do with freedom of speech? It's not even based in the US. Sweden, I think?

Well after been hacked to death by US goverment because it was showing their dirty work and kicked clearly out of the US domains just to clear some names.

And then to finally trying to make it banned and unable to find a new worldwide dns to host again so it shows what they really are.

I guess freedom of speech goes flying out of the window.

That is correct. Most of WikiLeaks' servers are based in Sweden, though Assange, the guy who runs WikiLeaks, has considered petitioning Switzerland for political asylum and moving the servers there, after Sweden denied his petition for residency.

Of course, he also has an outstanding warrant for suspected rape, sexual molestations, and harassment charges in Sweden.

Those charges were trumped-up by a couple of vengeful ex-girlfriends, who were in fact never raped and had sex freely and voluntarily with Assange, and even boasted about their respective conquests afterwards.  I don't know why Sweden is moving forwards with them.
